If tomorrow all the things were gone,I’d worked for all my life. And I had to start again, with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars,to be livin here today.‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom, and they can’t take that away.
And I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free. And I wont forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,next to you and defend her still today.‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,God bless the USA.
From the lakes of Minnesota,to the hills of Tennessee.Across the plains of Texas,From sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston, and New York to L.A.Well there's pride in every American heart, and its time we stand and say.
That I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free. And I wont forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,next to you and defend her still today.‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,God bless the USA.
And I’m proud to be and American, where at least I know I’m free. And I wont forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,next to you and defend her still today.‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,God bless the USA. My friend Jason M. Bogart will forever be missedhttp://www.iraqwarheroes.com/bogar.htm
A poem: They say you're a fallen hero
Tuesday, April 07, 2009
By Kathy Colbert
They say you're a fallen hero,They say you've given the ultimate sacrifice,We say you've become the light of our city,And every day we will remember at what price.
You will be our guiding light,You will be our hero,You will be the reason we continue to fight,To keep our streets safe day and night.
Some say it's not fair,Some say it's too soon,We say it, too,Which is why we will always respect our men in blue.
The pain to our city is real,Devastation has a cost,It will take time to heal,For such a tragic loss.
Most do not know you,Though they see you every day,For we work in the city,For which your memory will always be displayed.
Not a day goes by we won't see your face,You're presence is well known,Your memory we will embrace,For you are one of our own.
You will be missed,You will be remembered,You will always exist,On April 4 and forever.
