Where are the Sea lions????

Sea lions gone????http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2009/12/disappearing-sea-lions/
This makes me sad and it makes me wonder why they left? They say they might of found some other food source but it seems werid that they would be there for 20 years and then one day just up and leave. Is something bad going to happen and they scense it? Hmmm...
Tyler and I were just in San Francisco in September when we took these pictures. Every summer growing up my brother and I went to San Francisco and every summer my grandparents would take us to see the seals. Its sad to think that next time I go they might not be there.

Knutzen family Christmas

Christmas Eve dinner...I love Christmas Eve I love having mexican food for dinner, I love the excitement of the next day from the kids, I love that TBS does 24 hours of a Christmas story, I love watching a Christmas movie with my family that night, I love helping my parents bring down all the gifts after the kids are in bed and I love spending the night even though Piper wouldnt sleep so I didnt get a whole lot of sleep. The table doesnt match but its still pretty

Every year my mom says next year Christmas isn't going to be this big and every year it looks the same.
Stockings...Tyler and I fill our own and we starting the tradition years ago to use these huge stockings.

The boys
Emma loves being under the Christmas tree...She's really going to miss it when its gone.

Family dinner at my grandma's Christmas afternoon. As you can I see I'm trying to figure out what rice pudding has the almond in it. This is a tradition that we have every year. My grandma puts a alomond in a rice pudding dish and whoever gets it gets a price but she hides it so you dont know which one its in until you eat it. My mom wins every year!

I love this picture of my parents that my aunt took Christmas afternoon at my grandma's

Thompson Family Christmas

Every year Tyler and I go to his parents house the weekend before Christmas to celeberate with them since they live in Yakima. We've been doing this for years now and it works out great! I love not having to worry or fight about where we have to go next during the holidays.

Tyler got the table saw he really wanted so now he can stop borrowing my uncles all the time.
You might remember from last year post that Tyler's family likes to give goodwill presents as a joke and then the real present is wrapped somewhere in or on the goodwill gift. This year I got this lovely puke yellow dress and this very nice tea pot both had nice gift cards hiding in it. I love this tradition its always so funny to watch the presons face when they open it.

This year was extra funny because grandma's gift was this sexy outfit! In all the years Tyler's family has done this they never done one to grandma. We were all laughing so hard it hurt. The best part is that she put it down and said thank you thinking that was her gift without looking for the gift card that was hiding in the box.

Another Thompson tradition is silly string after you open all your presents! I dont know if we'll pass this tradition on because it makes such a mess but we love it!

We had such a fun famiy Christmas weekend we played lots of wii resort and foosball.

It was also Tyler's dad birthday that weekend. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHUCK!

Snow Day

Every year Tyler and I talk about going to the snow to take our Christmas pictures and every year we run out of time. So this year we got a couple of friends together the weekend of Thanksgiving and went up to Crystal Mountain to take each others pictures. It worked out great because we ended up driving on a fire road and finding this cute bridge. This was our family Christmas card picture this year and I love it...

But I loved this one as well!
Keli and Tucker
Matt, Jac and Mason

After we took pictures we went back to Matt and Jac's where we had taco soup, watched Fred Clause and made ginger bread houes. It was such a fun day I think we should make it a tradition.

The suspect (Maurice Clemmons) waiting in line and acted like he was going to order something. When in a split second lifted a gun from under his cloths and opened fire on the four officers. Timothy Brenton
On October 31, 2009 at least one coward pulled along side a marked police car occupied by Officers Tim Brenton and Britt Sweeney. This coward then assassinated Officer Brenton. Despite being wounded, Officer Sweeney, who had just recently graduated the academy, was able to get out and return fire.

On November 6th a suspect was captured and has been charged with aggravated first-degree murder, 3 counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of first-degree arson.

Please show your love and support to these fallin officers families!

The whole group after the haunted woods at Maris Farms. Tyler and I go to the Maris Farms haunted woods every year. It is the best one around and it takes a good 45 minutes to go through.

September-

Tyler and I were able to do a last mintue week long trip to San Francisco California to visit my family. My mom even came for a couple of days to surprise my grandma. We did all kinds of things while we were there for the week, girls day of pedicures, boys golf, we went to San Francisco, out to dinner, I even learned how to make little girl bows and tutus from my aunt Beckie. We had a great time and wished that we were able to stay longer than a week. My grandma, cousin Jordan, Aunt Sharetta and Tyler and I

Riding the Trolley

Two weeks after returning from California Tyler had knee surgery. It was painful and a longer recovery then he was expecting but he is getting better and loving the light duty shifts he has until after the holidays.

August-

I cant find my picture but we went floating down the Yakima river and thought it was a good idea to mix sun screen and sun tan oil on all day. I got so burnt that my ancles were swollen...AND I MEAN KANKLES!

We also went to wild waves with my little brothers and had a great day. But one warning when you go to wild waves WEAR SANDLES! The ground is so hot your feet feel like they are on fire!

2nd Wedding Anniversary

Its crazy to think that Tyler and I have been married for two years now. Some days seem like we've been together for so much longer and other days it seems like it was just yesterday. I'm so thankful to be married to such a wonderful, caring, loving man. I love him so much and cant wait to keep spending the rest of my life with him!

Across the years-
I'll walk with you in deep green forests on shores of sand, and when our time on earth is through, in heaven too, you will have my hand.

4th Of July

4th of July is huge at my parents house we always BBQ, play at the lake and light a ton of fireworks. This year Tyler had to work 2-10pm but it still worked out. He was able to come get fireworks at Muckleshoot that morning, our yearly tradition and he was home in time to light off fireworks.
This year was espescially fun because we had extra family in town not to mention the weather was great for playing at the lake.

We tried to watch the lake show from the deck/roof but they moved the barge this year and a tree was blocking the best parts so we had to run down to the private beach.

I was so worried about the dogs being stressed out about the fireworks. Especially Piper since this is her first year. You can see how much she cared! She was passed out on my lap pretty much the whole time.
Lola on the other hand wanted to eat the fireworks and almost did so my cousin Cullen helped me hold her back from them!
Always hose your fireworks off when your done! A couple years ago we had a garbage can catch on fire a week later from smothering fireworks. Good thing the boys were outside playing when it happened or it could of been bad. It was already so high when we ran outside.

Alexa and Piper...So cute!
