Where are the Sea lions????

Sea lions gone????http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2009/12/disappearing-sea-lions/
This makes me sad and it makes me wonder why they left? They say they might of found some other food source but it seems werid that they would be there for 20 years and then one day just up and leave. Is something bad going to happen and they scense it? Hmmm...
Tyler and I were just in San Francisco in September when we took these pictures. Every summer growing up my brother and I went to San Francisco and every summer my grandparents would take us to see the seals. Its sad to think that next time I go they might not be there.

Knutzen family Christmas

Christmas Eve dinner...I love Christmas Eve I love having mexican food for dinner, I love the excitement of the next day from the kids, I love that TBS does 24 hours of a Christmas story, I love watching a Christmas movie with my family that night, I love helping my parents bring down all the gifts after the kids are in bed and I love spending the night even though Piper wouldnt sleep so I didnt get a whole lot of sleep. The table doesnt match but its still pretty

Every year my mom says next year Christmas isn't going to be this big and every year it looks the same.
Stockings...Tyler and I fill our own and we starting the tradition years ago to use these huge stockings.

The boys
Emma loves being under the Christmas tree...She's really going to miss it when its gone.

Family dinner at my grandma's Christmas afternoon. As you can I see I'm trying to figure out what rice pudding has the almond in it. This is a tradition that we have every year. My grandma puts a alomond in a rice pudding dish and whoever gets it gets a price but she hides it so you dont know which one its in until you eat it. My mom wins every year!

I love this picture of my parents that my aunt took Christmas afternoon at my grandma's

Thompson Family Christmas

Every year Tyler and I go to his parents house the weekend before Christmas to celeberate with them since they live in Yakima. We've been doing this for years now and it works out great! I love not having to worry or fight about where we have to go next during the holidays.

Tyler got the table saw he really wanted so now he can stop borrowing my uncles all the time.
You might remember from last year post that Tyler's family likes to give goodwill presents as a joke and then the real present is wrapped somewhere in or on the goodwill gift. This year I got this lovely puke yellow dress and this very nice tea pot both had nice gift cards hiding in it. I love this tradition its always so funny to watch the presons face when they open it.

This year was extra funny because grandma's gift was this sexy outfit! In all the years Tyler's family has done this they never done one to grandma. We were all laughing so hard it hurt. The best part is that she put it down and said thank you thinking that was her gift without looking for the gift card that was hiding in the box.

Another Thompson tradition is silly string after you open all your presents! I dont know if we'll pass this tradition on because it makes such a mess but we love it!

We had such a fun famiy Christmas weekend we played lots of wii resort and foosball.

It was also Tyler's dad birthday that weekend. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHUCK!

Snow Day

Every year Tyler and I talk about going to the snow to take our Christmas pictures and every year we run out of time. So this year we got a couple of friends together the weekend of Thanksgiving and went up to Crystal Mountain to take each others pictures. It worked out great because we ended up driving on a fire road and finding this cute bridge. This was our family Christmas card picture this year and I love it...

But I loved this one as well!
Keli and Tucker
Matt, Jac and Mason

After we took pictures we went back to Matt and Jac's where we had taco soup, watched Fred Clause and made ginger bread houes. It was such a fun day I think we should make it a tradition.

Thanksgiving

I love Thanksgiving at my house its always so much fun helping my mom cook food, eating the food, playing games and looking through all the ads for the next days big shopping trip! I am so thanksful to have such a wonderful loving family I get to surround myself with. Tyler loves setting the table up like this he says it reminds him of the Griswold Christmas vactaion.
